Cant find my friends playlist on spotify

First of all, your playlists may be set to secretive. On iOS you can check this by clicking the three dots at the top as if you were going to edit the playlist, then making sure that is says "make secret. If that doesn't solve your issue, please let me know, and I would be glad to help out. Although all Spotify's songs and albums are indexed, playlists are not. I guess it's due to the crazy number of playlists and with so many playlists created each day it would take massive resources to index all of them and show them in search. And since a lot of playlists could have similar names, you might find a few thousands playlists with the same name and you would be scrolling for hours.

If this post was helpful, please add kudos below! Yeah, me too. Being able to find you matters in how you setup your account when you registered. I think the problem many of us are having is that we want the playlists we make public to show up in search results for other Spotify users. None of my public playlists can be found by my friends and I'm not talking about sharing, I'm talking about them being in the public search results.

For example, I have a few smaller independent artists that I follow and I've made some playlists that I think showcase their music. However, when I was on my friend's Spotify account he could not find any of my public playlists I could understand a limit if there are 40, Lady Gaga playlists, but for these artists there are few or none, so why would there be any limit?

Is there a way to reach Spotify directly to solve this problem? Thanks for any help. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community boards reply back to that email, even if it is from a noreply and a customer support rep will get with you shortly. You can also use twitter if youd like here SpotifyCares. I've got the same problem as everyone else here.. I can't find any of my playlists on my friends account even though i already have followers on my playlists.

When i search for this playlist it comes up like 15 other playlists that has a similar name, and none of them has as much followers as mine. Shoulden't my playlist be easy to find sence mine is more viral and has the exact name that i typed in the search bar? Please solve the problem. I may have a different problem, that is somewhat similar.

I created a spotify account. I also have a facebook, but I don't want to use it anymore. I created a playlist called The Jam. I want to put that playlist on my account that I created. I can't for some odd reason. I log into spotify with my facebook.

Make the playlist public, but I still can't find it. I follow myself with my other account. Still cannot find it. Im having the same problem, I know that spotify has lots of playlist, so that makes it really hard to find the one you are looking for.

But when Im looking for the exact words of my playlist, Spotify gives me back an error like "that name doesnt exist" or sth like that. By using our website you agree to our use of cookies in accordance with our cookie policy.

Go to Solution. It shows that it has been marked as public and it now shows on your profile under public playlists, so users should now be able to find it simply by searching for the name of it or your profile. In my profile Spotify says: Your public profile. People visiting your profile will be able to see the music you publish. What gives?

I have had Spotify for a while and have only used it to play and download music for my own pleasure but have a friend who has recently got Spotify. We are going on my stag do in July and I have made a playlist for the hotel room and various trips where we can play our own music. I wanted him to have some input into this playlist so added him as a friend but he cannot see all of my playlists. Go to Solution. If you right click on your playlist, you can select 'Make Public' and tick 'Collaborative Playlist'. That should make the playlist public on your profile. If he still doesn't see it, you can right click on the playlist, select 'Copy Playlist Link' then send him that link. Alternatively, you can click 'Share' and send it to him from within Spotify. I'm not sure about the following issue, but one reason you might not be able to see their playlists is that they might have them on "Secret". A Secret playlist is essentially private, so it won't be seen on their profile, and even if you'd search the name of the playlist, it won't be there. Also, there is an option in settings to allow recent artists, playlists, and more to be shown on the profile. Your friends may have that option turned off. Hope that clears something's up.

Coming back to spotify after a few months and I'm clearly just missing something but I can't seem to search for playlists or facebook friends.

With the Spotify social system, it is amazingly easy to share content with your friends which is great! I have had this issue where my friends cannot find my public playlists. When they look up my profile, it says that I have 0 playlists although I have one main one and two others I just started. Go to Solution. View solution in original post.
